Join Certified Health Coach and Yoga Instructor Cheri Timmons for an 8 week yoga package to get your day started right!  This (non-prenatal) 8-Session Baptiste-inspired power yoga package offers participants the opportunity to begin (or enhance) a regular yoga practice.

Working with all levels, this physical practice offers strengthening, focus, flexibility and endurance on and off the mat. Participants are asked to please bring a yoga mat, towel and water bottle. You are pregnant and your body is changing so fast! If this is your first birth, you’re probably wondering what is happening, and what will birth be like? If you’ve birthed before, you may wish to prepare consciously for your next birth. Using the tools of yoga, I invite you to connect with your body, your baby and your intuition to prepare for birth and motherhood.

In class you can expect to move with your breath and intention in a slow flowing practice with gentle opening, strengthening, breathing, visualization and relaxation techniques. All of the work we do in class will help prepare you for a peaceful and joyful experience of birth.

REGISTRATION REQUIRED
Classes are $15 for a drop-in.
Class packages are available (8 classes for $100 or 4 classes for $54)

PLEASE NOTE: your friends, family, etc are welcome to attend class with you, however they are required to pay the drop-in fee or purchase their own package. There is also a comfortable lobby for partners or family to wait while you attend class. Thank you for understanding that participation in class = payment for class regardless of your pregnancy status.

This three-week childbirth class is designed especially for Magnolia Birth Center clients who are planning an unmedicated birth.  This class is fun, hands-on and discussion-based so bring your questions and a couple pillows!  It is best to enroll in this class during your third trimester, and plan to be finished by week 37.

To register, please contact instructor Mary Gillett, MS, ACBE, at magnoliaclasses@gmail.com.  Class is offered at no cost for Magnolia Birth Center clients, and $120 per couple for outside students.  A new series typically begins on the first or second Thursday of each month.  This class is not appropriate for children.

Please note – if you are planning to labor or birth in a tub, you must take the Waterbirth Essentials class separately. All Magnolia clients must take Hello Baby class (usually just before or after you finish Your Best Birth class.)

Water Birth Essentials @ Magnolia Birth Center - Room A

Laboring and giving birth in the water is a gentle form of comfort for both mom and baby. In this two-hour class we will separate fact from fiction, and learn about the equipment needed, the management of the pool, where to buy and rent equipment and how to use water most effectively in labor. Participants will receive a certificate at the end.

Best Birth Practice and Refresher @ Magnolia Birth Center - Room B

This class is the final in the four session “Your Best Birth” series and is also designed as a single stand-alone refresher for moms and support people who have already taken a childbirth class, have at least one birth behind them, and just want a short “tune up” refresher on the comfort measures that will support them through labor and birth.  First time parents should sign up for all four weekly classes.  Bring a pillow, water and snacks, and up to two support people.  Feel free to load a birth playlist on your phone and share with the class!  Dress comfortably and be ready to move; this is a hands-on class.
